RACS supports a First Nations Voice to Parliament

The Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) is proud to support a First Nations Voice to Parliament.

RACS has worked towards creating a compassionate and fair Australia for the last 36 years and supporting the Voice only furthers our commitment to this mission.

We acknowledge that First Nations people have been displaced in their own homes, on their own land, by an unjust system. We stand in strength and solidarity with the Indigenous community as we march towards a safer, more equal Australia for all.

Enshrining the voice of First Nations people in the Australian Constitution marks an important first step in the journey to reconciliation, truth and justice.

RACS has dedicated our service to those seeking a safe place to call home. We have walked with those enduring displacement, seeking justice and yearning for healing. We want this too for the people who have walked this land for thousands of years. Everything we have stood for and believe in supports a First Nations Voice to Parliament, and so we are proud to lend our voice in support.
