Delighted to have been invited to share an afternoon at the Herbert Smith Freehills offices this week. We are most grateful to the more than 50 lawyers and partners who attended the lunch to hear about the learnings of those who have participated in RACS’ data breach project.
Approximately 200 people were assisted prior to the 19 October 2018 deadline. RACS will continue to assist approximately 250 other people and their families on this matter. RACS was one of the only legal centres providing assistance to people across Australia. All of this in a record time of six months.
This is just one example of the many achievements that have only been possible with the support of major law firms such as Herbert Smith Freehills.
We thank Peter Butler for his ongoing support and we look forward to continuing to work together to provide dignity and justice to refugees.
