If you have been invited to apply for a Temporary Protection Visa (TPV) or Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV) and don’t have a representative:
Unfortunately, RACS is not able to represent you. If you can afford a private migration agent this may be a better option for you.
If you cannot afford a Migration Agent, RACS can organise to provide you with assistance to lodge your visa.
This is the process for RACS:
Fill in a Freedom of Information request ( FOI) to get a copy of your documents;
Once you get your CD or documents from the Department of Immigration, give them to RACS
Once RACS has your documents, RACS will organise an appointment for you to take your statement of why you cant return to your country ( this will be part of your visa application)
If you would like assistance completing your TPV or SHEV form, RACS can refer you to other community organisations;
RACS will organise an appointment with a volunteer Migration Agent to check your forms and provide you with advice about your case and how to lodge.
It is up to you to lodge yourself and keep a copy of everything you give to immigration.
It may take RACS 6 months to provide you with assistance as there are many people wanting free legal assistance.
