A new clinic offering free legal advice to asylum seekers and refugees has just been opened by the Auburn City Council.
The timing of the opening coincides with the greatest need ever faced by asylum seekers in Australia, according to the Refugee Advice and Casework Service’s executive director, Tanya Jackson-Vaughan.
“Times have never been harder for an asylum seeker in this country,” she says.
