Outreach Service At The Jesuit Refugee Service

In 2015, RACS opened its The Jesuit Refugee Service Outreach Service for the first time, providing free legal advice to asylum seekers every Friday. The Jesuit Refugee Service Outreach Service assists residents of the Parramatta LGA with short drop in sessions and longer sessions by appointment. RACS is working in partnership with Jesuit Refugee Service and extends thanks and gratitude to The Scully Fund and The Sisters of Mercy for vital support.

Drop in times are Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 12pm at 4 Victoria Rd, Arrupe Place, Parramatta.

The Asylum Seeker Centre Legal Clinic

RACS, in partnership with the Asylum Seekers Centre (ASC), has set up a legal service assisting Asylum Seekers Centre’s clients with their protection matters. There is one full time RACS lawyer at ASC with a team of volunteer lawyers and interns.

The expert legal support provided by RACS has allowed the ASC to augment the suite of services it provides to their clients. The service has also established a legal clinic in partnership with Gilbert and Tobin to provide further legal assistance to asylum seekers at ASC.
